To the VFW Post 2681 Family, 

On behalf of the Executive Board, I would like to sincerely THANK YOU for your support of Rainbow Post 2681. No matter how you have supported us, i.e. by playing BINGO, working on a Poppy Drive, volunteering for at events at the Post, or even assisting when we go to the Nursing Homes or VA Hospital, everything you do is of great importance to us and our ability to support our veterans and communities. We would not be able to complete this mission or serve them without you. 

Membership is the backbone of our organization. We welcome new eligible members to join us. If you have any friends, relatives or just meet someone that is eligible to join the VFW, or the VFW Auxiliary, please provide them with information to join us. Keep a membership application in your car, wallet, purse, or wherever so that you could provide it to them if they are interested. Help us recruit new members please! As they say, the more the merrier.

Due to these unusual times, we are faced with financial challenges to be able to continue operations. Even though we are currently closed for business, i.e. Bingo, meetings, on-location services, we still have financial obligations that need to be met (insurance, utilities, supplies, etc.). For those of you who can, we are humbly requesting a monetary donation to Rainbow Post 2681. A contribution of $25, $35, $50 or as much as you can give, will go a long way toward meeting these financial obligations. In addition, if you have a business, or work for a company, that would like to make a corporate donation or become a sponsor of our Post, please provide them with our contact information. This would be most appreciated. 

You can either send your donations directly to the Post (address provided at top of letter); drop donations off during the day to the post thru the mail slot, give donation to an executive board member. In addition, we have set up a Pay Pal online direct link account where you can easily make an immediate tax-deductible donation. This is a secure link. That link is:

If you are a member who is unable to actively volunteer or participate in Post Events, this would be a great way for you to continue supporting Post 2681 and make a difference. 

We are keeping abreast of the executive orders from the Governor about when we will be able to reopen the Post. We want this to happen sooner than later, however the health and well-being or our members and guests are of the utmost importance. Once we do reopen, there will probably be a few changes that will need to be met by all who enter the Post, i.e. Masks. I say this just to make you aware of the requirements that may be placed in order for us to re-open for meetings, events, and Bingo.
